I’d like to share with you the art of Rotai including Jimi’s Process. The information presented here will benefit you greatly as it has benefited me and countless others over the>50 years I have practiced Rotai.

Rotai is an ancient healing technique taught to me by a Shaolin monk who escaped the Chinese regime and threat of death named Mo Tai S’how (pronounced Sow like pig with ‘h’ after S : shou).

Hi, my name is James L Bronson (Jimi) and I was born in 1947. I was taught this ancient art by Mo Tai S’how and his closest and dearest friend, my grandfather. They had met during the war.

It wasn’t until 1973 that I started helping people using Rotai. I had some time away from Rotai after a severe accident left me too disabled to continue. A miracle happened to me years later, which allowed me to work again and I have used Rotai ever since.

Mo Tai started me off with only two arm movements and two leg movements in his original teachings to me when I was six (6) years old. These were practised at the beginning of the Self Defence classes he used to teach.  He had a great knowledge of the Fighting side of things but he was also gifted at the Healing Side of the Arts. Moi Tai explained that the body is a magnificent machine.

Mo Tai died in 1979 but I continued on with his work. I further enhanced and developed the technique over many years of working on people and finally got the understanding of what was really going on in the machine. These specific muscles we begin with are all part of the physical defence patterns we activate in times of trauma or perceived trauma. Once you master this simple process you are on the way to helping the majority of your family and friends live a life free of pain.Jimi’s Process, is the name of the first book on Rotai.

I have shared a small section of that Process with you on this website. It is part of the 1st Degree of my Course in Rotai and covers Body Mechanics. Rotai is the healing art and continuation of the Shaolin noble art of healing and self defence that utilises our own unique body language as an indication of our physical, mental and emotional health.
